Cancellation Policy
I hold a 24 hour cancellation policy, notified via text, email or the SimplePractice messaging app. Cancellations given within less than 24 hours will result in a full charge for the full session rate. No show's to scheduled sessions will be charged for the full session rate.
Session Fees and Payment Schedule
Prior to begining sessions, fee rates will be confirmed as you have the right to know payment rates prior to beginning treatment. For your convienance a card is kept on file, protected via Stripe, cards will be charged on the night of your appointment.
At this time I don't accept insurance, however I can provide superbills for reimbursement to insurance. Please be advised every insurance has different reimbursement rates. I highly encourage you to check with your insurance about reimbursement rates prior to beginning therapy, if you choose to seek reimbursement through superbills.
For clients utilizing Somatic and yoga focused sessions, who are not already therapy clients, payments can be accepted via cash, Venmo or Zelle.
Telehealth and In person sessions
I offer both in person and virtual sessions. I'm primarily based in Santa Cruz, CA with limited in person availability throughout the year in Oahu. We will decide upon initial consult whether in person or virtual sessions will be utilized. I understand situations arise and am flexible to switch to virtual in the event in person becomes unavailable, please notify me as soon as possible.
Please ensure you have a reliable wifi connection and confidential space to engage in therapy.
SimplePractice and Record Keeping
I utilize SimplePractice as my record keeping system. This is a HIPPA compliant therapy website to maintain session notes, treatment plans and assessments. SimplePractice is used as my online client portal in which you will set up your profile to access online billing and messaging.
You can request access to notes at any time during treatment. We will discuss the reasoning for accessing records, followed by your request in writing. No one can access records on your behalf unless identified by law or written consent by you.
Consistency of Care
Maintaining consistent appointments are important in reaching your wellness goals. Appointments are typically weekly or biweekly, with once per month sessions for clients in maintenance mode after meeting wellness goals. Frequent cancellations can disrupt the therapeutic process. However unplanned situations do arise, I'm happy to navigate any challenges with you and support you in recieving the type of care you need.
Consult Calls and Referral Process
I schedule 15 minute consultation calls prior to booking sessions to ensure therapeutic fit for the both of us. Connecting with the right provider is crucial to the therapy process and I want to ensure we are the right fit for each other by discussing presenting concerns. In the event I'm not the right fit for you, I'm happy to provide referral resources to guide you towards the right fit for your needs.
Outdoor Sessions
I offer guided somatic sessions and trauma-focused yoga sessions with the option of meeting at the beach. Meeting in nature can allow for more therapeutic sense of calm for some of us. Times and location are selected to ensure there are minimal people passing by. When having our consultation we can chat more about what to expect.
